Frequent questions
Are there any setup fees?
No, signup and integration are free. You only pay the commission on successful transactions.
When are funds settled?
Mobile Money payments are settled on T+1 business day, card payments on T+2 business days. Settlements to a bank account are free.
What changes between Starter, Growth and Scale?
Only the SaalaPay portion: Starter at standard rate, Growth at −33%, Scale at −66%. Promotion is automatic based on monthly volume — you don't have to do anything.
Can I use SaalaPay without integrating the API?
Not yet — hosted payment pages and payment links are on the roadmap. For now, SaalaPay targets teams able to integrate a REST API with HMAC signing.
Which countries are covered?
Guinea, Senegal, Mali, Ivory Coast as of today. Expansion to the rest of the CEMAC zone is planned subject to licenses.
Is there a test environment?
Yes, the sandbox is open from account creation. It is fully isolated from live (separate keys and subdomains) — strictly enforced HMAC middleware.
